As I should have predicted, unstructured, erratic wretch that I am, I keep forgetting to post on Twitter so this week we only have four pages but they are funfilled days in Constantinople with dervishes, slippers, armenians, plague and dirty streets – according to granddad anyway. A bit rich coming from an Irish person I thought back when I read it first. Not that we are the dirty potato eaters we have sometimes been accused of but that our streets, like many worldwide, are not these days the cleanest what with all the plastic and dog poo. But in truth our grandparents were so good at recycling Irish streets were probably pristine compared to what they are today in the 21st century.
